Notes

Irish priest trained in Toulouse appointed head of the translation bureau for Foreign Affairs under the Comité de Salut Public and Directory from 1793 to 1799.

Not to be confused with his namesake younger cousin, a French-trained priest turned adventurer and spy working for the British government after 1793.
