This is the second version of Spence's utopian, radical constitution (the previous version being The Constitution of a perfect commonwealth). It was based on the French Constitution of 1793. It was probably written in 1801 and was published as part of the documents relating to Spence's trial. It belongs to a group of works by Spence about the Utopian island Spensonia.
