Notes

This edition compares word for word to Thomas Nugent's London edition published by J.Nourse and P. Vaillant in the same year, although the title has been slightly altered from 'Emilius; or an Essay on education… Translated from the French by Mr. Nugent' to 'Emilius, or a Treatise on education', with no translator acknowledged, suggesting a pirated edition.
