Notes

The French translation of the various English addresses which appeared in the 'Moniteur'. While Margarot was most likely the translator of the LCS address it is unclear who translated the others. This collection was unanimously ordered to be printed at national expense with copies sent to the Armies and all Departments. It excludes the reference to the London Corresponding Society and the last paragraph noting the original date or the address and the reason for the delay. See Michael T. Davis, ed., 'London Corresponding Society 1792-1799', Vol.1, p.35.
