Notes

'Préface de l'auteur ou imitateur'. Translator states that she was looking for an English work to translate and accidentally came across the source text. She but didn't think it would work in French but it did provide het ideas for new developments. She therefore added a lot of material of her own, turning her 'translation' into quite something else, while recognizing her depth to the original author.
