Notes

In the preface the Italian translator highlights the importance of founding a new morality of the basis of the republican values. At the same time the Italian translator disagrees with the French author in the attempt of dismissing entirely the Christian religion. On the contrary all religions are equal and everybody must be free to follow the one it suits best.
