Summary (extracted citations)
The prophetic spirit of the above passage, already in part fulfilled in the instance of France, may serve as a hint of the contents of the work attributed to Rosseau, and lately mentioned in the French Convention by Gregoire, as having been found sealed up with this superscription in Rosseau's hand-writing: "Not to be opened until the year!". A work which the world must look for with most anxious expectation.
Notes
The French Revolution is interpreted as the fulfilment of predictions about the age of revolutions made by Rousseau in Emile.
