Notes

Translator explains her changes to the source text in the preface. With the help of an anonymous friend, she has corrected the factual mistakes made by the original author concerning the English and American constitutions. She has also added footnotes and an appendix containing an introduction to the constitutions of the different American states. English citations she has taken from the English authors, except when she couldn't find the source text. In those cases she has re-translated them from French to English.
