Based at 35 College Green and Grafton street in Dublin (1788? -1801); then Pearl Street in NY (1803 - 1808); 30 Baltimore Street (At the Roman Catholic Library, 1809 - 1810?); and Philadelphia (1817? - 1824).

Forced to leave Dublin for religious and political reasons, Dornin moves to New York in 1803, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1808. Establishes himself in Baltimore in 1809, but following imprisonment for debt he moves again to Philadelphia before 1817, retiring in 1824.
