Julien-Augustin Grangé was the son of Parisian bookseller Jean-Augustin Grangé (https://data.bnf.fr/fr/12239175/jean-augustin_grange/). He qualified as a bookseller on 13th June 1777, trading first from his father's shop on Rue de la Parcheminerie, then in his own right on Quai de Gesvres.

He was still active in June 1791.
