Notes
The MS of Louvet's Memoirs is held in the Archives Nationales. The original edition went on sale in Paris, sold by Louvet, veuve Gorsas and Bailly. This is the url to the 2nd edition, which was also sold in London. This version had better quality printing and paper and carried two different end pages. The one sold in Paris carried a list of all Louvet's published works to date, the one sold in London carried the following notice:
"Of the same Booksellers may also be had, I. La Vie du Général Dumouriez, 3 tom. 8 vo. 15s. II. Notice sur la Vie de Sieyes, 8 vo. Translations of all these works will be published in a few Days"
