Pigott's pamphlet was picked up by Jean-Pierre Brissot, François-Xavier Lanthenas and Louis de Kéralio. Reprinted as a supplément to Brissot’s Le Patriote français (10 Feb 1790), possibly translated by Lanthenas. Mentioned in Louis de Kéralio, 'De la liberté de dénoncer, d’écrire ou d’imprimer sa pensée' (1790, L. Potier de Lille). Mentioned in F. Lanthenas, 'De la liberté indéfinie de la Presse etc.' (17 Juin 1791, Visse & Desenne), pp.6-7. Lanthenas writes that the National Assembly was so struck by Pigott's pamphlet that it ordered its printing.
