Notes

The fulsome dedication to a 10-year-old boy (Augustine) to work hard and be kind to others suggests this was done as a personal project and offered to the publisher on the back of Wollstonecraft's growing fame. This edition comes with Blake's engravings (from the 1796 English edition)

Translation announced in La Décade philosophique, year VII/2, n. 18, p. 565.
