Notes

Not to be confused with the painter Eustache-Hyacinthe Langlois whose dates are roughly similar.

The son of a goldsmith from Pontoise, he established his bookshop in Paris around 1797. He was also a mapmaker and author of several works on geography. Collaborated with his son Louis-Hyacinthe from 1826.
