Notes

Fantoni studied in the Benedictine convent at Subiaco, and in 1776 became a member of Rome's Arcadian Academy under the pseudonym Labindo Arsinoetico. His neoclassical poems were published as 'Odi' (1782), and then posthumously as 'Poesie' (1823).
