Cristina Viti

Cristina Viti is a translator and poet working with Italian, English and French. Her most recently published translations are Mariangela Gualtieri’s Beast of Joy (Chelsea Editions), Etel Adnan’s Notte (San Marco dei Giustiniani) and Elsa Morante’s The World Saved by Kids (Seagull Books), shortlisted for the John Florio Prize. Among earlier works are the editing and translation of the Selected Works of Dino Campana including the full text of the Orphic Songs (Survivors’ Press) and excerpts from Gadda’s War & Prison Journals (Serpent’s Tail). Forthcoming work includes translations of the essays of Furio Jesi and of the poetry of Anna Gréki. Other translations and poems are published in a number of reviews (Modern Poetry in Translation, Shearsman Magazine, White Review, etc.)
